Year 6 were full of energy to battle the bindweed at Ladysmith Juniors this week. Research shows that building a connection with nature is not simply about knowing lots of facts about it, or even how long you spend outside in it. You’re amazing - we did it!! 🥳 We focused our senses on the smells found in nature. Foraging from the school garden, children gathered all sorts of delicious scents from fennel, sage and rosemary to lavender, rose, lemon balm and chives! There’s only 2 days left! We’re absolutely thrilled to have reached our £6,000 target and gone beyond! Come join in for another Community Grounds Maintenance Day at Ladysmith Juniors 🌱💚🌼 Wow!! We’ve raised £5,474 🥳 We’re nearly there!! What could be better than enjoying a sunny day outdoors cooking bonfire popcorn and eating it under the trees with your friends 😊☀️🍿🌳

We’re proud to announce that we’ve achieved Level 5 – the highest level – of the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening Awards! We have worked incredibly hard to grow our gardening knowledge, improve our green spaces and enjoy the many benefits of learning through nature.
